About us
A non-profit that builds software because we enjoy doing it.
Shabsolute is not a company. We are a group of people who like making things on the internet, and we chose to point that at something useful.
Why we exist
From tinkering to intent
Shabsolute started from a simple habit: we like building things on the internet. Sometimes just for fun, sometimes to solve our own problems.
Over time we noticed the small things we built often turned out useful to other people too. That is when we decided to get serious — not by becoming a company, but by making sure everything we ship is genuinely helpful.
We registered as a non-profit so the direction is unambiguous: our projects exist to be used by anyone, not to be sold.
What we build
Small software that solves one problem well
Literacy tools, everyday utilities, and web experiments. All of it shared for free, and maintained for as long as people use it.
What we do not do
- Show ads inside our products
- Sell user data
- Lock features behind a paywall
- Take credit for other people's work
Our principles
Four rules we use to decide
Before a project moves forward, we check it against these four questions.
- 01
Ship first, perfect later
We do not wait for the perfect idea. We build a small version, release it, then learn from real usage.
- 02
Free, not bait
No paywalls, no ads, and no user data sold to anyone.
- 03
Open from day one
Our code and process are visible to everyone. Learning from our work is part of the point.
- 04
Listen before coding
We start from what people need, not from whichever technology is trending.
Got a fun idea?
We are always open to collaboration, feedback, or just talking about an idea that got us curious.
